Bismarck Youth Baseball

Head Coach – organizes effort with assistant coaches and team coordinator. Delegate responsibilities to staff team out of player parents. Hold practices, coach at games during season. Serve as role model in all elements of sportsmanship for players and parents.

Asst Coach – Work with coach and team coordinator with responsibilities. Help with practices and coach games according to head coach directives. Serve as role model in all elements of sportsmanship for players and parents.

Team Coordinator – Work with Coaches to make sure all responsibilities are taken care of or delegated. Develop calling tree for use during season. Communicate with player parents throughout season regarding practices, games, snack list etc.

Umpire – Work with Umpire Director to umpire games in either Rookie, Minor or Major Division

Board of Directors – Be an active Board Member for a 3 year term in decision making for the League. Meet monthly for Board Meetings; hold a portfolio of responsibilities as assigned by the Board. Require attendance and willingness to volunteer in many capacities.

Uniforms and Equipment – Help with the uniform and equipment distribution held every spring to start off the season, usually in May. Work with team coordinators and players in outfitting their team. Also help with sorting and inventorying uniforms and equipment at season end, usually in August.

Concessions – work at the Scheels Complex concession window for scheduled hours during the season. New to BYB but should be a fun way to interact with players and parents.

Tournament Committee – Work with your volunteers in tournaments held in July for BYB invitational, State Tournaments or Regional Tournaments. Organization, score keeping, operation of scoreboards, help with awards and the operation of the tournament.

Grounds Maintenance – Preparation and maintenance of fields for practice during season.
