BYB 2020 COVID-19 League Best Practices

UpdatedWednesday May 27, 2020 byBYB.

Please review the BYB 2020 COVID-19 League Best Practices Document that is linked below..

This will be our primary guiding philosophy during the challenging times that are before us. We realize that this guidance may not be a perfect solution for all participants. Therefore, any currently registered family can request a full refund of this year’s registration fee due to COVID-19 through Saturday, May 30th. To do so, please just email the league, provide your player’s name(s), state that you would like to withdraw due to COVID-19, and let us know if you would like your registration fee applied to next year’s season, or if you would like a refund. NOTE - Any registrations that were completed more than 90-days ago will have to be processed manually, via check, and those will be processed within a few weeks. Registrations that were done within 90-days will be credited back to the credit card used for registration.

If we do not receive a withdraw request from you by midnight on May 30, 2020, your player(s) will be placed on a team. Once placements are done, and the season begins, we will not honor COVID-19 refund requests.

Please understand that we have no control over what may happen between now and August. If the situation takes a turn for the worse, and we have to temporarily or permanently suspend the season due to governmental direction, we may not be able to offer pro-rated refunds. The reason for this is that we will have incurred operating costs that will not be able to be recouped on our end (i.e. uniforms, equipment, charter fees, player insurance, facility use fees, etc.).

Please continue to watch your emails, the League web site, and our Facebook page for continuing updates. We are finalizing team rosters and schedules and hope to begin practices the week of June 7th for all divisions (T-Ball, Rookie, AA, AAA, Majors, and Travel). We thank you for your patience, and we look forward to seeing you all at the fields!
