Andrew Feist Named Executive Director of Bismarck Youth Baseball

 April 18, 2024

Bismarck, ND – Bismarck Youth Baseball (BYB) is thrilled to announce the hire of Andrew Feist as its first Executive Director, effective April 19th. Feist is a familiar name and face in Bismarck baseball and the state.

"We are excited to welcome Andrew Feist as our first Executive Director. Andrew's experience as a BYB player, coach, and board member makes him the perfect fit to lead our organization into the future.” says BYB Board President Matt Sagsveen.

A product of BYB having played t-ball all the way up to the Bismarck Governors, Feist understands the mission of our program. A 2017 Bismarck High School graduate, Feist went on to play collegiate baseball at Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri. After a career-ending injury in his freshman season, he moved back to Bismarck and began coaching Babe Ruth baseball for two seasons. He helped lead 15 year old Capitals to a runner-up finish in the 2019 Babe Ruth World Series. Following his coaching career, Feist worked in the North Dakota Office of the Governor and most recently at the University of Mary in the Executive Vice President's Office. Feist has been involved with BYB since 2019 when he served as a board member and travel baseball director. He also serves as a district commissioner for North Dakota Babe Ruth and Cal Ripken board.

“I want to thank the Bismarck Youth Baseball board for this incredible opportunity,” said Feist. “As a former BYB player, I understand the importance of this organization in our community. While a career-ending injury cut short my playing days, it fueled my desire to stay involved in the game and to give back. I'm incredibly excited for this opportunity and look forward to building upon that legacy during this new era of growth for our organization.”

Feist holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Dickinson State University, and an MBA/MA in Philosophy from the University of Mary. He is married to Paige, and they reside in Bismarck.
