Welcome to Bismarck Youth Baseball

REMINDER - ALL 2016 TEAM/ROSTER INFO IS ON THE REGISTRATION WEB SITE

Reminder - in January, we launched our new online registration system that is directly connected to Cal Ripken national charter office. Everyone registered in the new system. That is the web site that all of the current year player/team/roster info is at.

  • Go to the link below and log-in (upper right corner of the page)
  • At the top of your profile page, you will see links to your player(s) team wall

2016 Uniform/Picture Schedule & Order Form

The uniform/picture schedule and instructions are below - as well as the order form. All parents - please read through the instructions, and have your player report to Centennial Elementary a few minutes before your listed "Call Time".

SCHEDULING NOTE - We know that there are other activities going on both of these days. DO NOT CONTACT THE LEAGUE and ask for your team's time to be changed. If your player has to miss their time slot, their uniform will be collected by the coordinator or designated representative from their team - and they can get it later. You can then contact the photographer directly if you are interested in having an individual photo taken separately.

PICTURE ORDER FORM NOTES - Payment (checks made out to GameDay Photography) must accompany the order form. Orders do not have to be made the day of pictures - they can be mailed in separately to the photographer any time during the season. But, if they are mailed in within two weeks of picture day, they will be included in the first order distribution. TRADING CARDS - You do not need to list the jersey number in that section - the photographer has a system in place to know which jersey number each player has, and will add that into the order after the fact.

MISSING "BIRTH CERTIFICATE" SYSTEM MESSAGE

If you see a message in the new SIPLAY system saying that you need to upload a birth certificate to complete registration - DISREGARD IT - if your player is returning from last year, we have birth certificates from prior years. And, if they are a new player and you mailed it in - we will contact you directly if we have not received it.

Registration for 2016 is Now Closed - Update on What Happens Next

Registration for the 2016 season is now closed for all divisions, and we are working through the process of player, head coach and coordinator placements. Since we have some changes due to our new system, here are some details as to what happens next:

  • WAITLISTS - If you have been placed on a waitlist through the online system, you will be contacted by April 15th to let you know if your player has been placed.
  • DIVISION PLACEMENT REMINDER - We no longer send out Division Placement postcards. If you have received your email receipt from online registration - that is your acknowledgement that your player is registered for their age-appropriate division. If you registered by postal mail, you should have received an email or phone call from the League once your player's paper form was entered into the online system.
  • TEAM PLACEMENT NOTIFICATION - Once all player, head coach, and coordinator placements are finalized, teams will be activated within the new online SIPLAY system - and automated emails/text alerts will be sent out to each family. 11/12YO Players - this includes you, and that is how you will know which division/team you are placed on.

We will activate teams by division - once all teams in a division have head coach and coordinators confirmed. This means that different divisions may have notices sent out on different days - but, all teams within a division will be announced at the same time. NOTE - If you have players in multiple divisions - DO NOT CONTACT THE LEAGUE with questions if you receive an announcement for one division, and not the other, on the same day. We will only release teams in each division, once all teams in that division are finalized. This process takes time - and we ask for your patience. If we have a division that is not released - it is because we are still trying to secure head coach and/or coordinator positions for one or more teams.

We hope to have all team notifications sent out prior to the parent meeting on April 19th.

  • HEAD COACH/COORDINATOR VOLUNTEERS - Division Directors will be reaching out to those who indicated volunteer preference in these two roles between now and April 17th - to confirm ability to do so. NOTE - head coaches and coordinators WILL NOT need to call each family to provide team placement information - as all families will receive the automated TEAM WALL email/text alert.
  • ASSISTANT COACH/UMPIRE VOLUNTEERS - Once head coaches and coordinators are confirmed, they will be given the names of parents on their team who had indicated volunteer preference in these two roles. The head coaches and/or coordinators will then reach out to those people individually to determine who will do what.
  • COACH/COORDINATOR/PARENT/TRAVEL MEETINGS - These meetings will be held in the west gym at Horizon Middle School on Tuesday night, April 19th. Please check the calendar page for exact times of each meeting. The main parent meeting is very informative for families that are new to the league - or those who have not attended in the past. While players can attend - it is easiest if just one parent attends, with no children, as it is designed more for the parents. The main parent meeting is not required - and the info provided will also be given to team coordinators, so they can pass along to those who do not attend. The TRAVEL TEAM parent meeting is required - there must be at least one parent of each travel team player attend that meeting.
  • UNIFORMS/PICTURES - As in the past, uniform distribution/pictures will take place on a Friday evening and all day Saturday - at Centennial Elementary School. The dates for this year are April 29th and 30th. This is an intense, efficient process that enables us to get uniforms distributed and pictures taken of over 900 players, on over 80 teams, in a very short amount of time. We will post the final schedule by the week of the parent meeting. We anticipate that the schedule will be similar to last year, with Rookie Division on Friday night, AA Saturday morning, Travel teams around the lunch hour, Majors and AAA in afternoon, and T-Ball in late afternoon/early evening. NOTE - We have a process in place, whereby coordinators will receive uniforms for players who cannot attend at their assigned time. Once the final schedule is released, DO NOT contact the League and ask for your player and/or team to go through at a different time - it cannot be done.
  • LEAGUE GAME SCHEDULES - Game schedules for the entire season will be posted later in the month - tentatively by the weekend of April 23rd. There will be a separate schedule posted for each division.

2016 Travel Team Rosters & Parent Info

The 2016 Travel Rosters are listed below. Each team roster is sorted alphabetically, by player's last name.

Parents - we now need to identify coaches and coordinators for each team. Each team will have a maximum of 3 coaches. Any player guardian that is interested in serving as a travel coach or coordinator, should email BYB no later than 6 pm CST on Sunday, April 10, 2016, and indicate what team and position you are interested in. If there are more than 3 individuals interested in coaching, the Director of the Traveling Division will schedule a meeting to make the final determination. NOTE - travel team coaches are also required to serve as a coach or assistant coach for a league team during the regular season. By the evening of April 7th, an email with this same information will be sent to the family addresses we have on file.
